badance is a deep house and techno label based in paris, france. our label is for us a platform for beauty, dance, experimental, and every nuances that the spectrum of music has to offer.
for this first ep, we want to share with you who we are, what we love and what we will do. the name of the flight that marked the beginnings of badance was naturally chosen. we are proud to introduce you bmbf aka benny must be free, born and raised in paris. he travels through music to detroit, chicago, berlin and many other places in the world. he wanted to share this ubiquity by choosing artists from around the planet. naturally, one the main references in the world of deep house and techno was chosen: patrice scott. he created an inspiring abstract dubby remix. banfield audio as friends and music lovers were exactly in the vein of the artistic direction of the ep: deep, deep, deep. experimented and sensitive, they gave to >surround me< an abyssal atmosphere that fits perfectly with the whole ep. underground quality was searched we hope we found it. now, listen, share and enjoy.

raucherecke are back with their third release on 200 records. they shaped their unique techno style in the last years, so that they are distinctive now as you could hear lastly on their >papierfabrik ep< on treibstoff. till krüger did the remix for the title track >malibu< – a perfect choice.

with his debut ep >swinger<, the multitalent from central germany now wants to conquer the club scene. as dj and event-manager he already has filled the dancefloors. now his songs should do likewise. inspired by the infamous clarinet-grooves of the roaring twenties and biting trombones >swinger< connects the organic sound of hand-played instruments with crunching techno beats.
the album exhausts the composition always a little bit more danceable, thanks to original instrumentation. but it is more than only dj-tools for the turntables. as the six tracks on >swinger< no second run out of ideas, it will effortlessly earn a wider audience.

>a correction< is the new album from fieldhead and continues the dusty, bereft sounds of previous releases – they shook hands for hours (home assembly 2009) and riser (gizeh 2010). 2010 saw paul elam depart the uk for vancouver, canada and there is no doubt that the vast northern candian landscapes have influenced the new fieldhead material. the familiar tape hiss, scratchy, decaying atmospheres remain in place but with a correction elam has managed to sculpt a vaster, more expansive palate of sounds. minimalistic on first listen, a correction is a record which slowly unfurls on multiple listens to reveal subtle melodies and details that dont distract from the overal ambience but in fact set apart fieldheads music from many other, safer artists within the genre.

craig mcwhinney is a melbourne based dj, producer and live artist. beginning his techno explorations behind the decks in 2000, his transition to the studio has been swift and fruitful. a string of releases on his own label haul music which he co-founded in 2008 with friends mike callander and christian vance, are now being backed up with remixes and eps for speedy js electric deluxe, and brendon moellers steadfast records. drawing upon his wealth of djing experience, he crosses the boundaries of dub infused techno and house with precision and intent, blurring the line between dance floor dynamics, home listening, experimentation and sound design. he is also collaborating with mike callander as haul music live, fusing craigs rhythms with mikes soundscapes to create unique dance floor interpretations of their individual sound experimentations. wild coast is a low-slung filthy minimal romp that possesses as much primal energy as it does futuristic funk. bassbins and heads are likely to be blown by this demented puppy. echologist keeps things lofi, hypnotic and subby.
